NEW PROCESS TECHNOLOGY
(Nanotechnology Information)
Nanomaterials has applied
for a patent for revolutionary process technology which allows for the
creation of nanoparticles with a specific number of atoms within each
particle. Read more under PROCESS TECH.
PURIFICATION PROCESSOR
SHIPPED (Nanotechnology News)
On December 1, 2004
Nanomaterials shipped to NASA Ames Research Center a sublimation-based
purification processor (Model SSP3-04) designed to recover water and recycle
water during long duration space flight. This processor was designed to
process 4 L of influent during a 12 hour sublimation period. The
purification module prepares the feed, transfers it to the processor core,
and delivers the purified water while automatically ejecting, packaging and
hermetically sealing the dried solids. Below the system is being loaded onto
its pallet for shipment to Moffett Field. This device embodies 5 innovations
for which we have applied for patents.
How does this project fit
into our mission? In developing this processor for NASA, Nanomaterials has
further developed the state of the art of its purification technology
employed during materials processing. We are currently offering a license to
this processing technology to ultra high purity chemical manufacturers.
